Our Story
Some of life's best memories happen near the water.
A spontaneous beach day. A weekend at the lake. A boat ride with friends. A glass of rosé as the sun begins to set. The swimsuit packed for every trip because it always feels just right.
Those moments inspired Cheeky Bottoms.
Founder Jen Thompson has spent a lifetime chasing sunshine. Born and raised in California and shaped by years spent living near the coast in Santa Monica, she has always been drawn to travel, water, and warmth.
Yet after years of searching, she found herself making the same compromise over and over again.
Some swimsuits were beautiful but lacked craftsmanship. Others were practical but uninspired. Many simply weren't designed for women who wanted to move through life effortlessly while still feeling polished, feminine, and chic.
She wanted something different.
Something sophisticated but approachable. Flattering without feeling restrictive. Timeless without feeling predictable.
When she couldn't find it, she decided to create it herself.
What followed were years spent learning everything she could about the swimwear industry, traveling to meet manufacturers, studying fit and construction, sourcing fabrics, and refining every detail.

Cheeky Bottoms began with a dream, a lot of determination, and more late nights than I can count.
What started as a search for the perfect swimsuit became something much bigger…a brand inspired by sunshine, travel, connection, and the moments that make summer unforgettable.
